VP246
VIA Lab’s VP246 is an USB Type-C UFP CC controller. The VP246 provides the electrical measurement to support the following Type-C CC controller features;
(1)Detect attach of USB Type-C ports
(2)Establish DFP and UFP roles between two attached ports
(3)Detect the attached status
(4)Detect the current mode when connecting as a sink
(5)Provide the Type-C cable orientation identification for the control of the ext
VP246 can operate in a wide range power. It can accept the power from one cell Li Battery or the power from 5V Vbus. VP246 also has low power consumption and it is suitable for portable devices.
