DESCRIPTION
The RS8017 dual-channel switch regulator is a 1.2Astep-down converter with an input voltage range of 2.7Vto 5.5V and an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to VINThe 1.5MHz switching frequency enables the use ofsmall external components. The small footprint and highefficiency make the RS8017 an ideal choice for portableapplications.
The RS8017 channel 1 or channel 2 delivers 1.2Amaximum output current while consuming only 55μA ofno-load quiescent current. Ultra-low RDS(ON) integratedMOSFETs and 100.00% duty cycle operation make theRS8017 an ideal choice for high output voltage, highcurrent applications which require a low dropoutthreshold.
The RS8017 provides excellent transient response andhigh output accuracy across the operating range. Noexternal compensation components are required.
The RS8017 maintains high efficiency throughout theload range. The RS8017’s unique architecture producesreduced ripple and spectral noise. Over-temperature andshort-circuit protection safeguard the RS8017 andsystem components from damage.
